Holland America Line’s Rotterdam is back in service after a two-week drydock in The Netherlands.

The first guests got to see the enhancements firsthand on April 26, and the Rotterdam now resumes its seven-day summer itineraries throughout Northern Europe.
According to a statement, one of the areas that was refurbished is live music venues.
Billboard Onboard and Rolling Stone Lounge now feature additional seating, while Crow’s Nest debuted a new live music stage.
A new live music stage and bandstand was also added to the Sea View Pool on deck 9 aft, expanding entertainment options outdoors.
Next, staterooms were upgraded to accommodate larger groups, with new sofa beds added to 22 Vista Suites, which are now able to sleep up to four guests.
New carpeting was also installed across staterooms, guest corridors and public areas, which also got new furniture upholstery.
Floors and chairs were refinished and new wall coverings added.
A new, more ergonomic hair‑washing station was added to the Greenhouse Spa & Salon to improve comfort.
As for the casino, around 20 additional slot machines were added, as well as new seating, updated carpeting and new televisions installed in the table games area.
Finally, the Effy Jewelry retail venue was updated with new flooring, wall finishes, lighting and display fixtures.
