Cuesta and Stuzin appointed to the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointments of Ivonne Cuesta and Laura Ann Stuzin to the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court. 

Cuesta, 44, has served as a County Court Judge in Miami-Dade County since 2012, and she previously worked in the Office of the Public Defender for the 11th Circuit.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Florida International University and law degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Stuzin, 47, has served as a County Court Judge in Miami-Dade County since 2015, prior to which she was of counsel with Rumberger, Kirk, & Caldwell, P.A.  She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and her law degree from the University of Miami.

The appointments fill vacancies created by the elevation of Judge Norma S. Lindsey to the Third District Court of Appeal, and the resignation of Judge Gisela Cardonne Ely.
