Honda cerró sólidamente el 2018 con ganancias tanto en automóviles como en camionetas en diciembre, sobreponiéndose a más de cuatro meses de producción que se perdieron debido a una inundación que provocó la parada de la planta automotriz de Celaya en México, y estuvo muy poco de implantar una nueva marca de ventas anuales.
Las ventas de camionetas establecieron nuevos récords para un mes y para un año, encabezadas por la CR-V que estableció un récord histórico mensual, con 42,079 unidades en diciembre, una ganancia de 13.8%. El Pilot fijó una nueva marca anual, eclipsando su récord anterior en más de 7,000 unidades.
El Accord tuvo un sólido aumento de 29.4% con 28,627 unidades vendidas en el mes.
Las ventas de vehículos electrificados constituyeron nuevos récords de ventas mensual y anual con ventas de 6,899 vehículos en diciembre, el sexto mes consecutivo superior a las 5,000 unidades.

Acura fue una de las pocas marcas de lujo que tuvo un aumento de ventas (+2.8%) en 2018 y registró récords para el RDX y las camionetas ligeras, lo cual condujo a una nueva cuota de mercado y a la primera ganancia anual de la marca desde 2014.
Las camionetas Acura establecieron un nuevo récord mensual de ventas, con una ganancia de 17.5% gracias a ventas de 12,786 unidades.
El RDX ganó 42.2% para implantar una nueva marca para diciembre con ventas de 6,838 unidades, el séptimo récord mensual consecutivo para el modelo y el segundo mejor mes de su historia.
La MDX tuvo ventas de 5,948 unidades en diciembre, lo cual ayudó al modelo a alcanzar su séptimo año consecutivo con ventas anuales de más de 50,000 vehículos.

Ficosa and Idneo have created Onboard Ventures with the mission of supporting start-ups in advancing their projects and turning them into sizeable, scalable businesses, with access to both companies’ assets
Onboard Ventures, the open innovation initiative of Ficosa and Idneo -the Ficosa group’s engineering firm specialized in developing high value-added technological products-, has selected 10 start-ups to present their solutions for the automotive industry at the Automobile Barcelona Connected Hub, the renewed Salón del Automóvil of the Catalan capital. These start-ups will have a booth, promoted by Onboard Ventures in collaboration with 4YFN, at the 4YFN Mobility Village, where they will display their projects in areas like smart mobility and driverless vehicles.
These 10 start-ups, from cities like Moscow, Berlin, Portland and Barcelona, have been selected within the framework of the Discovery programme, which Onboard Ventures kicked off this past March. These innovative projects include a solution to help cars find a place to park automatically, solutions based on the Internet of Things for motorcycles and bicycles, and a solution that will redefine human interaction through intelligent vision.
In the words of Edouard Rozan, Managing Director of Onboard Ventures: “We’re very proud to be giving start-ups the opportunity to display their innovative, disruptive solutions at the Automobile Barcelona 4YFN Mobility event, as it is a true springboard for emerging companies.
