In Latin America, the corrugated cardboard industry is a driving force for a number of companies, from the northernmost part of Mexico to the southernmost part of Chilean Antarctica and Tierra de Fuego in Argentina.
According to recent data from the International Corrugated Case Association (ICCA), more than 100 corrugators produce approximately 5.3% of corrugated boards sold worldwide.
These companies have also created some tens of thousands of jobs, making a significant contribution to the economic development of the region.
International Convention
The Association of Caribbean, Central and South American Corrugators (ACCCSA) is the umbrella organization in this industry, organizing an International Convention every year, combined with a Business Fair aimed at showcasing the latest innovations in the industry and the path of growth. This time, the meeting will take place in Miami Beach, from July 9 to 11, 2019.
“The ACCCSA Convention welcomes all corrugators from Latin America and their input, machinery, technology and service providers from around the world,” explained Gonzalo Velásquez Rodríguez, engineer and CEO of ACCCSA.
He added that the goal of this business meeting is to bring regional corrugators together with global powers and international market leaders attending as fair exhibitors, as well as to establish business partnerships and know firsthand industry developments worldwide.
The International Exhibition will have 114 stands and more than 135 companies this year, including BHS, BOBST, HarperLove, Alliance Machine Systems International, EFI and Fosber, among others.
