2023 Sino-European Entrepreneurs Qingdao Forum Was Grandly Held, Mogul Gathering to Discuss New Opportunities for China-EU Cooperation

QINGDAO, China–(BUSINESS WIRE)–From September 19-20, the Qingdao International Conference Center welcomed the 2023 Sino-European Entrepreneurs Qingdao Forum. This landmark event, co-organised by the Sino-International Entrepreneurs Federation (SIEF) and the People’s Government of Qingdao, brought together senior business leaders and policy makers to explore China-EU cooperation avenues. Central to these deliberations was the theme: “Navigating to Our Future Prosperity: Sino-European Dialogue and Cooperation”.


Esteemed speakers LONG Yongtu, Co-chairman of SIEF and former Vice Minister of MOFTEC; LU Zhiyuan, Party Secretary of Qingdao Municipal Party Committee; and featured speaker LIU Xiaoming, ex-Vice Minister of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission and former Ambassador to the UK, shared their insights.

Mr. LONG emphasized China’s unwavering commitment to its policy of global openness, enhancing business environments, and fostering China-EU economic collaboration. As the 20th anniversary of the strategic partnership between China and the EU approaches, Mr. LU spotlighted Qingdao’s initiative in crafting a top-tier, international business environment. Meanwhile, Mr. LIU Xiaoming offered insights based on his diplomatic experiences, underscoring the importance of mutual understanding and collaboration.

This forum, set against the backdrop of the 45th year of China’s reform and the 10th anniversary of the “Belt and Road” initiative, saw vibrant discussions across main sessions, thematic dialogues, and round-table sub-forums.

The event was graced by over 350 attendees, encompassing representatives from corporate behemoths such as Siemens, Airbus, Volkswagen, and Sodexo, alongside a broad spectrum of media professionals.
