The American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) held its last monthly lunch of 2018 with the international speaker Lissett Tautfest, who is Social Leader of International Taxes of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Mexico , and that addressed the topic “American Tax Reform: Impact for foreign investment in Latin America and challenges for the Dominican Republic”.

In that sense, the president of the American Chamber of Commerce, David Fernández, pointed out the importance of being educated in the topic to know how the Trump administration measures impact the business sector of the country.

In another order, Fernandez also expressed the concern of AMCHAMDR for “the excessive generation of legislative initiatives,” adding that “it is important that we remember and respect the specialty that each piece of legislation must have, and the necessary limits in the exercise of functions. of the different public entities “.

The president of the American Chamber assured the intention of this institution to collaborate with the State to promote a continuous development that further increases the country’s positioning in the region.
