The general director of the National Competitiveness Council, Rafael Paz, said yesterday that the objectives of this year 2019 for that entity are the productive transformation, taking measures for the relaunching of the national industry, and the strengthening of the agricultural sector.
He indicated that the National Competitiveness Council will continue to work for the country to take advantage of the logistic potential it has.
He also emphasized that it is about eliminating obstacles and barriers for the Dominican Republic to become an export economy.
“The year of innovation and competitiveness is a continuation of the purpose of President Danilo Medina to ensure that the country generates more income in exports of goods,” said Paz.
He added that in 2018 the institution adopted more than 109 measures to export.
