PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania, United States .- The nominated Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, David Collado, traveled to this city to meet with Apple Leisure Group, the main tour operator for Mexico and the Caribbean, at the beginning of their efforts to firm reopening of tourism.
Collado was received by Alex ZoZaya, chairman of the renowned tourism firm, with whom he exchanged ideas on the protocols and biosecurity measures required to offer a health guarantee to foreign visitors hosted by Dominican hotels.
Apple Leisure Group, which moves an average of 3.2 million passengers annually, is the main hotel operator in the Dominican Republic, reports annual sales of more than US $ 5 billion and has 30,000 employees.
In the country, it operates 11 resorts with an offer of 5, 145 rooms in five destinations. During the meeting ZoZaya was accompanied by his main executive team.
“From the Cabinet and the Ministry of Tourism we will spare no effort to adopt all the necessary measures in consensus with the tour operators, hoteliers and other actors in the sector,” said Collado.
