The number of passengers of Latin American and Caribbean airlines is growing

According to the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association, traffic (RPK) grew 5.8% and capacity (ASK) increased 4%, bringing the occupancy factor to 81.8%, equivalent to 1.4 percentage points more than in June 2018.

Domestic traffic
Latin American and Caribbean airlines transported 18.6 million domestic passengers in June, which represents an increase of 7% compared to 2018 (see table 2). Traffic (RPK) grew 5.8% and capacity (ASK) grew 1.8%, bringing the occupancy factor to 82.4%.

International traffic
Latin American and Caribbean airlines transported 6.1 million international passengers in June, of which 3.5 million were international passengers within the region and 2.6 million outside the region. Argentina-Brazil was the largest intra-regional market while Mexico-USA was the largest extra-regional market.
