With reference to our CustomerInfo dated January 30, 2018 we would like to inform you that South African Customs Authorities have revised the implementation date of the new legislation. The new customs regulation is now effective as of April 20, 2018.
For all cargo imported into South Africa, the SAFE rule would be mandatory and therefore we are required to submit our EDI manifest 24 hour prior to loading at the load or transhipment port.
